It is the third largest castle in Poland, with its origins dating back to the late 13th century. Today, Książ attracts visitors with its picturesque location in a landscape park, fascinating history, impressive Baroque Maximilian Hall, and mysterious underground passages from the Second World War. Near the castle, you’ll find the Mausoleum, the Stallion Stud Farm, the ruins of Old Książ, and a unique Palm House from 1913.

This is one of the most picturesquely located Piast castles in Silesia, associated with many stories and legends, including that of Princess Małgorzata imprisoned in the castle dungeons. The first historical mentions of Grodno date back to 1315, and in the 16th century, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style.

Jedlinka Palace in Jedlina-Zdrój
The palace was built on the site of a 17th-century manor house and was rebuilt several times by successive owners, including Carl Krister, an entrepreneur involved in porcelain production. During World War II, it housed the main headquarters of the Organisation Todt, which was responsible for building the mysterious RIESE complex in the Owl Mountains. Next to the palace, there is a hotel and a brewery.

Roztoka Castle

Roztoka Castle
A medieval castle rebuilt in the 16th century into a Renaissance manor and in the 18th century into a Baroque residence for the von Hochberg family. During World War II, it served as an art depot. The palace is surrounded by a historic park.
